Once upon a time, I lived in the woods with Feeley and Gordo and Rowlett and Miko and Caesar and skunks and a goat. Rent was about sixty bucks per knucklehead. The yard was full of trees. At one time, the house must have been quite grand. It was fucked up when we got there in '86.
The driveway was mostly dirt with your odd rocks, but it was big enough for Billy's? RV, my tuna boat, and... I don't remember what anyone was driving at the time. Big-assed driveway.
Frenchy double doors were one of several ways to enter our whacky mansion. My room had two or three exits. We may get to that. I was talking entrances. The double doors were north of the driveway, on the south side of 923. To get to the front door, one would have to venture through the woods, get on the porch, and you'd be there. Go thru that door, and that's where the bands might be set up. Past the stage to the right was the splendid staircase. Up the staircase dwelled some Hambones. There were two decent rooms and a weird little monkey-room for Dan. The bathroom was up there. The bathroom door had a window in it with a curtain on the outside. Sometimes that was not a good thing. Many times it was. We had no shower. We had a tub with a jug-head gizmo. Cold, cold business in the winter, it was.

I remember that joint. I took the grand tour once and I found a slice of pizza on the floor in an upstairs closet.

I remeber rolling up Finley (RIP) in a carpet when he passed out once. The fantastic threesome in the upstairs bathroom, is also a favorite.
Pizza on the floor meant less skunks or possums in one's bed.Pizza in the closet would have a deeper meaning. That Feeley photo is awesome. He would rent a megaphone for gameday. He would say some funny shit. Throughout the day, he would allow his drunken buddies to borrow the megaphone , and they'd say funny shit. He'd take it to The Wheel and startle the fratboys. In the photo by Steve Mingle?, Feeley is on the Hill, megaphone in hand, making us laugh, shoeless.
